Abtech SSD Aluminium Ex d Enclosure

The SSD Ex d range of enclosures are manufactured from either 316 Stainless Steel or Aluminium and provides significant levels of environmental protection. Certified as an Ex d enclosure, the SSD is designed is to prevent the propagation of an internal explosion to the surrounding explosive atmosphere, and protecting the internal components from the environment, humidity, dirt, dust or water. This form of protection allows many potentially sparking components that are not suitable for use with Ex e or Ex i enclosures to be safely installed within a hazardous area.

The SSD is both ATEX and IECEx certified for use in Zone 1 and 21 hazardous environments.
